Services
Oceanwide Inspection conducts marine structural steel and piping surveys to asses your vessel's condition, identify the cause of any damage, and determine the proper course for repair. We provide detailed reports, offer preventative suggestions, and work side-by-side with you for the duration of the repair process. Operating worldwide, on land and at sea, we pride ourselves on our commitment to safety, quality and integrity.
Nondestructive testing
Ultrasonic testing
Ultrasonic waves detect even the smallest flaws and enhance accuracy in identifying the depth of the defect and the thickness of surrounding parts.
Magnetic Particle inspection
Using magnetic fields, we test surface and sub-surface ferromagnetic materials for imperfections.
Penetrant Testing
We use liquid penetrant testing to search for surface-only discontinuities. This quick test provides a visual representation of flaws that can be seen with the naked eye.
Inspections
Critical Areas Inspection Plan (CAIP)
CAIPs document and track the structural failures of a vessel, identify problem areas, and help promote environmental and vessel safety.
Condition Assessment Program (CAP)
CAPs provide a detailed evaluation of a ship’s current condition including hull, machinery and cargo system status.
Condition Assessment Scheme (CAS)
Required by MARPOL 13G, a CAS documents an oil tanker’s condition and verifies that all repairs and surveys were properly completed.
Owner's representative | Steel-man
We effectively represent and safeguard a vessel owner's interests in a supervisory role during projects.
Vessel-wide shipyard structural and piping surveys
We provide global shipyard inspection services and work seamlessly with all related personnel.
Class special surveys
ABS and other classification societies require periodic surveys in order to verify a vessel is adhering to a specific set of design and construction standards.
